Jeanne Anderson, LM, CPM
Following the Midwives Model of Care I provide complete prenatal care for expecting mothers through pregnancy, birth and 6 weeks postpartum including newborn exams and breastfeeding support.
Specializing in Homebirth:
Welcoming your baby into your arms surrounded by those you love and who love you in your own home attended by a trained midwife is not only as safe as a hospital birth for healthy women with a low-risk pregnancy, but there are less interventions, less instrumental births including cesareans, and parents are happier with their experience of birth. See Citizens for Midwifery for more information.
Experienced with Waterbirth:
Waterbirth provides a soothing, less painful labor and birth for many women and a peaceful passage from the womb to the arms of their mother for babies. For further information, www.WaterBirth.org is an international waterbirth website that provides studies, statistics, and a wealth of knowledge regarding waterbirth.
Labor Support:
Available for those desiring a hospital birth, but want to have the comfort of knowing they have an experienced midwife in attendance. This includes two visits prior to the birth, and one postpartum visit.
Well-Woman Gynecological Care:
Including PAPs, breast exams and all labs including mammograms, and bone-density tests.
